An Announcement on the Future of Automatic Supply

I am proud to share the following news with you about exciting changes at Automatic Supply. Over the past 26 years, Automatic Supply has been focused on meeting the needs of our customers: providing competitive pricing and a high level of service, opening new locations across the state of Indiana and expanding our portfolio of products from almost exclusively irrigation into new areas like landscape lighting and outdoor living. I am extremely proud of the growth of our company, our hardworking and dedicated staff and the relationships we have built with our customers. Without your loyalty, none of this would have been possible. 

Over the past few years, I have begun to consider the long-term future of Automatic Supply and what that would entail. This past year, our senior staff and I have been in the process of considering new partners for the company. We have been searching for a partner who valued our company’s culture and ideals, one that would provide a safe & fulfilling home for our employees and provide the additional capital to grow our business. I am excited to announce that we have found the right partner for the future of Automatic Supply. We have reached agreement with SRS Distribution and will join forces together in early 2019. 

Founded in 2008, SRS Distribution consists of a family of independent building products distributors across 43 states. Joining forces with Automatic Supply is part of a diversification strategy by SRS to expand beyond their success in building products distribution and into the landscape and irrigation supply markets. The SRS model is to allow its family of companies to run autonomously, rather than be assimilated into a large national brand. This will allow Automatic Supply to retain the identity and reputation we have worked to achieve and to continue to chart our company’s own destiny. It also allows us to provide better benefits for our employees and gives Automatic Supply access to capital to fuel future growth opportunities to provide better service, products and locations for our customers. We are currently developing plans for what this would entail and expect to make further announcements soon.  

This partnership represents a new chapter in our history and one that I am proud to be a part of. Our commitment to the highest level of customer service will remain steadfast, and we believe that as we transition into this new era with the SRS family of companies, we will see even more opportunities to deliver on it. I will remain as President, CEO of the company and our Senior Management team will remain the same except for Pam Prugh who will be retiring. Other members of the Automatic Supply team will remain the same and continue to provide the service you have come to expect from our company.  

I am excited about what the future holds for my family and our company. I understand you may have questions about this new transition or ideas on how best to serve you in the future and ask that you direct them to any of our staff of dedicated employees. Let me assure you that I have done my research and am confident without a doubt that SRS is the best possible partner for Automatic Supply, our employees, and our customers.
