Need a pump?

Here's a quick breakdown of typical pumps for irrigation applications.

A little boost

If your sprinkler system needs a bit more pressure but you don't want to fuss with a pump start relay, a Pedrollo in-line booster uses a sensor to figure out when to turn on and off. It will boost pressure about 30 psi at 16 gpm, the maximum flow rate for 1" pipe.

Booster Pumps

For systems with a pressurized water source, we carry a line of Flint & Walling pumps to boost system pressure. Here's a quick chart with pump type and pressure boost at maximum gpm for 1" (16 gpm), 1.25" (24 gpm), 1.5" (35 gpm) and 2" (55gpm) pipe:

Suction-Lift Pumps

Irrigation Suction-Lift Pump Diagram

When sizing a suction-lift pump, remember to add the total elevation change to the required pressure for the system - that's .433 psi per foot of change in elevation. Find below the pump chart and curves for the CJ101 series of Flint & Walling's suction-lift pumps that we carry.
